Designed for children to help them understand the first principles of colour mixing.
Children experiment with mixing coloured water.
They use the primary colours (red, blue and yellow) to make new colours. Red, blue and yellow colour powder is added to water in a clear cup. Children use droppers to get the coloured water they want and mix the colours in test tubes.
This set offers children the chance to work scientifically as they can record the number of drops of colour used.
We recommend the use of goggles with this activity, not because they are needed, but because it instills the right approach to later experiments in chemistry.
