Cleaning & Polishing Ideas

  • Outdoor sweeping. Eg. sweeping a path

  • Raking Eg. fallen leaves, or smoothing gravel

  • Scrub the table clean using clean water in the bowl, and dirty in the bucket.  Wipe, then dry with a clean cloth.

  • Mirror Polishing: Use diluted white vinegar rather than nasty chemicals.

  • Wood polishing with natural beeswax and olive oil

  • Silver polishing with diluted lemon juice and salt.

  • Pegging clothes pegs onto the edge of a box or basket on a tray.

  • Pegging mini clothes pegs onto a line strung across a tray.

  • Use of pegs on a clothes horse or washing line.

  • Wash, dry and sort cutlery into a tray

  • Using salt and vinegar (or lemon juice) to polish coins. We
    recommend the coins are disinfected before they are used. A preliminary
    activity can be making cotton buds.

  • A dilute solution of white vinegar can be used as a safe window polish. (eg 50:50 water and white vinegar, add a drop of lemon or lavendar essential oil)
